One Vision.
Infinite Possibilities.
Our Mission:
To create a sustainable pathway to entrepreneurship by providing scholars grade 6-12 with a STREAM based education, guidance on business and financial management and a village of support.
Our Vision:
“Not every child will be an entrepreneur when they grow up, but we will inspire every child to have an entrepreneurial spirit.”
The Entrepreneurial Spirit is a mindset that questions the status quo, seeks growth and understanding, and embraces challenges and opportunities.
At TSVA, students will feel empowered and have the tools to cultivate their own paths in higher education, their careers, and their communities.
Students are guided in their development of academic mindsets and social/emotional skills needed to take ownership of the learning process and manage their own behavior, so they can contribute to our learning community and take lessons beyond TSVA.
Students’ skills, intellect, and experiences are activated to empower them to reinvest in their communities. We know that tomorrow’s jobs and economy are going to be created by leaders and entrepreneurs we foster today. All members of The Simple Vue work together to enact this vision in our community.
Our Values
Voice
When students have agency in their education, they become empowered to be in control. In our classrooms, we value student voice and choice. It means students can explore what they’re passionate about and share their ideas and opinions. Together, we make decisions and create lessons that matter to us.
Ubuntu
We Are Stronger Together. Ubuntu, a bantu saying meaning “I am because we are.” We know that we can’t do everything alone. We rely on our community to support us as we learn and grow. We help each other on our journey to becoming the best we can be.
Empowerment
We take from Albert Bandura’s idea of “self-efficacy.” It means having confidence in ourselves and our abilities. When we believe in ourselves, we can make decisions and choose the right actions for ourselves. We have the power to take charge of our own learning and make choices that will help us succeed.
